Finally, an aggression seminar that focuses on practical solutions to aggression problems, with specific positive steps for trainers & handlers to take - -instead of merely describing symptoms and causation. Extensive video footage will be used to demonstrate all aspects, including the behavior modification techniques.

SPEAKER PROFILE
Pat Miller
Pat Miller, a past President of APDT, has been training dogs for more than 35 years. She was a humane officer at the Marin Humane Society in California for 20 years and most recently trains as a CPDT and behavior consultant at her Peaceable Paws Dog and Puppy Training Center in Maryland, home to her acclaimed Intern Academies. Pat is also APDT's 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
Pat writes for, and is Training Editor, of The Whole Dog Journal and contributes to Your Dog (published by Tufts University Veterinary School). Her first dog training book, The Power of Positive Dog Training (Howell Book House, 2001) has been on Amazon.com’s "Top 10 Dog Training Books" list since January of 2002. Her other books are: Positive Perspectives, Positive Perspectives 2, Play With Your Dog, and “Do Over Dogs-Give Your Dog a Second Chance for a First Class Life”.
Her most recent book: “Beware of the Dog: Positive Solutions for Aggressive Behavior in Dogs” (Dogwise Publishing, 2017) is a practical road map to evaluating, managing and modifying aggression in pet dogs.

Hotel is in South West area of Orlando about 1 1/4 miles from Exit 74A of Highway I-4.
It is just 1 hr.15 min. from Tampa, Approx. 2 hrs. from Gainesville, Jacksonville, Jupiter & Sarasota.
From the West: Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Clearwater etc. Exit 74A of the I4 is just before (and thus avoids) the so called I-4 “Disney Exits”
From the North and East you can avoid the I-4 “Disney Exits” by using routes FL 417 South and / or FL 528 West

Due to space limitations, we will not be permitterd to have dogs in the meeting room (other than service dogs, of course.)

CONDUCT: During the lectures, please turn off all cell phone and pager audio alerts. Please take all private conversations outside while the speakers are presenting.
BABIES: The presence of a baby is likely to be distracting to other participants, so we ask that you refrain from bringing any babies or very young children into the lecture hall.
VIDEOTAPING: No videotaping or audiotaping is permitted. A selection of videotapes and books will be available for sale.
MISCELLAENOUS
