Adele Yunck

photo of Adele Yunck Adele Yunck got her first dog, Casey, in 1985 and she quickly became obsessed with obedience training. She began teaching for the Ann Arbor Dog Training Club in 1987 while still working as a Software Engineer. She left the world of computers to start Northfield Dog Training in 1990, offering classes and private lessons in a building at home in Ann Arbor. Although she teaches puppy classes regularly, her main interest is teaching competition obedience classes and she recently started teaching and showing in agility. She likes the variety agility provides and the fun options for keeping her obedience dog fit.

In 1995, Judy Byron and Adele formed JABBY Productions and produced the video "Positively Fetching: Teaching the Obedience Retrieves with Food". In 1998, they self-published their book, "Competition Obedience: A Balancing Act". Adele's students have earned titles at all levels, including the only Pharaoh Hound to earn an AKC UD title. Many have placed in national-level obedience tournaments.

Adele lives with her husband, Fritz and two sons, Chris, 11, and Ryan, 7. In the summer, she can often be found puttering around in her large organic garden.
