Dawn Jecs

photo of Dawn Jecs Dawn Jecs has an extensive and wide-ranging background in the world of dogs. She was one of the creators and a founding member of Prison Pet Partnership Program where women inmates in a maximum security prison earned college credits while they learned to train dogs for the disabled. She selected and directed the training of the first official “Seizure Alert Dog”, Sheba, a German Shepherd. Dawn conducts classes for all levels of obedience training in her facility in Puyallup, WA. She incorporates her “Choose To Heel” method of training and also offers agility classes, flyball and canine musical freestyle. Some of Dawn’s most recent accomplishments Border Collie “Books MXMXJ” was the winner of the 1998 United States Agility Classic, 20" Division, in Houston, Texas, American Eskimo “Jake AXAXJ” is currently the number one American Eskimo in “AKC Agility Excellent” and “Agility Excellent JWW” according to the national ratings in “Front & Finish”, BCSA (Border Collie Society of America) presented two of my BC’s, “Books” and “Biskee” with National Border Collie” Versatility Awards” in 1998, “Books” placed 3rd and “Jake” placed 9th in the 1999 Western Regional Agility Championship Tournament in Portland, Oregon, owner handled and finished an AKC Conformation Champion dog in 1998. (That makes three CH. dogs of two different breeds).
