Kelly Gorman has been a professional dog trainer since 1992. She has a Behavior Counseling Certificate from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers and was one of the first dog trainers to become a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT).

Kelly began her career in Chicago running her own private behavior counseling referral service. Also, she managed a training, daycare, and boarding facility for three years before moving to Los Angeles, where she worked with the SPCALA's Outreach DepartmentÑan after-school program for at-risk adolescentsÑthat teaches communication and conflict resolution, and builds self esteem through dog training. Subsequently, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area to be Director of Sirius Puppy Training. Kelly is a Co-Founder of OPEN PAW and serves as its current President.
